Low Season Traveller and Eco Hotel Summit have joined forces to create an online conference dedicated to low season travel, which will take place on November 26, 2020.

Low Season Traveller’s Founder and CEO Gerard Brown said, “Sadly, the ongoing Covid19 crisis continues to disrupt the global travel and tourism industry. 2020 has seen the devastating decisions that governments worldwide have delivered– resulting in a dramatic change from over-tourism to practically zero tourism overnight as our traditional peak seasons were cut short or completely decimated by the travel restrictions brought about by the pandemic.

“It is now clear that destinations can no longer rely solely on key peak season months and historic markets to deliver financial stability. We have to diversify our market appeal in new and uncharted ways to ensure that the attraction of every destination is now year-round.”

Low Season Eco Hotel Summit explores this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to reset the travel industry, looking at how tourism partners achieve this effectively. The event is free to view live or an All Access Pass can be purchased to allow the talks to be viewed on catch-up.

In this half day summit, we will hear from globally renowned experts on a range of subjects covering:

  • How Cultural Heritage can be used as a means of attracting new low season travellers.
  • Is it possible to interpret travel data to understand the key booking periods for our low season months?
  • Why 2021 is the perfect time to finally crack the seasonality challenge.
  • Which destinations are already ahead of the curve and what lessons can be learnt from them.

Speakers include: Olivier Ponti, Vice President Insights ForwardKeys,  Chris Flynn, President and CEO of World Tourism Association for Culture and Heritage, Pia Louw, Travel Industry Director, Turismo Tenerife, Jillian Blackbeard, CEO The Victoria Falls Regional Association, Philippe Moreaux, CEO GreenerAct,Prof Harold Goodwin, Managing Director of the Responsible Tourism Partnership and Shannon Guihan – Treadright Foundation.
