Eco Resort Network will head to Africa in 2027, with the sixth edition of the international event taking place at ENVI Paje, Zanzibar, from 30 May to 2 June.

The move to Zanzibar marks another milestone in the development of Eco Resort Network, which brings together sustainable resort owners, operators, developers, investors, architects, designers and suppliers from around the world to share knowledge and explore the future of environmentally responsible hospitality.

The choice of ENVI Paje as the host property is particularly poignant for the event organisers. ENVI co-founders Chris Nader and Noelle Homsy been associated with Eco Resort Network since its very first edition, and the team has watched both the ENVI brand and its portfolio develop over the intervening years.

“To now be taking Eco Resort Network to an ENVI property feels rather special,” said organiser Steph Curtis-Raleigh. “Chris and Noelle believed in what we were trying to create from the very beginning, when Eco Resort Network itself was still a new concept.

“We have watched ENVI grow into an exciting international hospitality brand and have followed the development of Paje with enormous interest. Having now experienced the property ourselves, we know that it provides a very special setting for the next stage in the Eco Resort Network journey.”

Situated directly on the white sands of Zanzibar’s southeast coast, ENVI Paje combines contemporary design and sustainability with a strong connection to its natural surroundings and local culture.

The property will be used exclusively by Eco Resort Network during the event, creating the intimate environment which has become central to the ERN format and allowing conversations and connections to continue well beyond the formal conference programme.

The event will begin with a welcome reception on the evening of Sunday 30 May 2027, followed by two full conference days on Monday 31 May and Tuesday 1 June.

Organisers are also planning opportunities for delegates to experience more of Zanzibar and its developing sustainable hospitality sector during their visit.

“We’re enormously excited to be bringing the event to Africa,” added Curtis-Raleigh. “We look forward to welcoming many of the delegates who return to Eco Resort Network year after year, alongside new members of the community – and particularly owners, operators, developers and hospitality professionals from across the African region.

“Paje is a stunning location for our sixth event and Zanzibar itself has an extraordinary hospitality story to tell. Alongside ENVI Paje there is an excellent selection of hotels along the beach, ranging across different styles and price points, making it possible for us to grow the event while retaining the intimate character that makes Eco Resort Network so valuable.”

Interest in the 2027 event is already strong, and places will remain deliberately limited to preserve the networking and collaborative nature of the programme.

Anyone interested in participating in Eco Resort Network Zanzibar 2027 is therefore encouraged to register their interest as early as possible by contacting steph@ecoresort.network or visiting www.ecoresort.network.
